Who participates in PNSS?

In 2007, 29 states, the District of Columbia, 1 U.S. territory and 4 Indian Tribal Organizations contributed data representing approximately 1,250,000 women. PNSS contributors are shown on the figure below. All PNSS data come from the WIC Program.

This is a map of the United States showing contributors of records to the PNSS in 2007. Contributors include Alabama, Arizona, the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (South Dakota), Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Puerto Rico, the Rosebud Sioux Tribe (South Dakota), the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe (North Dakota), Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
*Includes the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (SD), the District of Columbia, the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Puerto Rico, the Rosebud Sioux Tribe (SD), and the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe (ND).
