What training in rapid HIV testing is available?

CDC provides training in the use of rapid HIV tests to grantees, including health departments, community-based organizations (CBOs), capacity building assistance (CBA) providers, HIV/STD Prevention Training Centers (PTCs) and AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETCs).

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) also has launched a rapid HIV testing initiative. SAMHSA will provide rapid testing kits and train eligible service providers on the fundamentals of rapid HIV testing, HIV prevention counseling, and related data collection activities.
