Data Warehouse
The Data Warehouse integrates disjointed data from many sources and harmonizes into a coherent structure critical for CDC analysis. It stores surveillance data for years, providing access to 500 GB of data. In addition, it processes 2 million case notification messages per month for Tuberculosis, Varicella, Measles, various types of Flu, and generic public health cases. Alerts trigger real time EOC alerts to public health agencies for immediately notifiable conditions.
CDC stakeholders include epidemiologists, data and program managers in areas such as NCIRD, NCZVED, NCHHSTP and OSELS. Essential data is provided weekly to the MMWR report which reaches millions of users worldwide.
