Public Health Informatics and Technology Program Office
Division of Informatics Practice, Policy and Coordination
The mission of the Division of Informatics Practice, Policy and Coordination (DIPPC) is to improve the practice and translation of Public Health Informatics through outreach and coordination.
DIPPC will work within OSELS and with other CDC programs to:
- Foster the adoption of informatics standards for practice; methods and techniques;
- Align CDC and its partners efforts with emerging Health IT (HIT) policies where appropriate;
- Provide informatics expertise and consultation services to CDC and external partners;
- Seek opportunities to enhance the delivery of public health services through the application of public health informatics.
Nedra Garrett, MS, Director
Nedra Garrett is the Director for the Division of Informatics Practice, Policy & Coordination (DIPPC) in the Public Health Informatics & Technology Program Office. As Director of DIPPC, she is responsible for several programs to include the Public Health Information Network, Health Information Exchanges, Public Health Informatics Centers of Excellence, Public Health-Clinical Decision Support, Health IT Standards and Policies, and Communications to support these activities.
