National Center for Health Statistics
As the Nation's principal health statistics agency, we compile statistical information to guide actions and policies to improve the health of our people. We are a unique public resource for health information - a critical element of public health and health policy.
Laboratory Science, Policy and Practice Program Office
By preventing disease from exposure to toxic chemicals in the environment; responding to terrorism and public health emergencies involving chemicals; and improving laboratory methods to diagnose and prevent disease, the laboratory has been in the vanguard of efforts to improve people's health across the nation and around the world.
Public Health Surveillance and Informatics Program Office (proposed)
The vision of the Public Health Surveillance and Informatics Program Office (proposed) (PHSIPO) is that health decisions and actions are guided by timely and useful information. PHSIPO’s mission is to advance the science and practice of public health surveillance and informatics.
National Office of Public Health Genomics
The National Office of Public Health genomics integrates genomics into public health research, policy, and programs that can improve interventions designed to prevent and control the country’s leading chronic, infectious, environmental, and occupational diseases.
Epidemiology and Analysis Program Office
The Epidemiology and Analysis Unit provides essential information to help health decision makers make evidence based decisions that improve health outcomes.
Scientific Education and Professional Development Program Office
The Scientific Education and Professional Development unit improves health outcomes by ensuring a competent and sustainable workforce through excellence and innovation in public health education.
