Translating Research to Protect Health through Health Promotion, Prevention, and Preparedness (R18)
In FY 2009, CDC awarded 13 public health research grants for $5.6 million. The purpose of the program is the achievement of new scientific knowledge that can accelerate the translation of research findings into public health practice with an emphasis on achieving health equity. The goal is to improve the adoption and accelerate the dissemination of proven effective interventions that can make critically important impacts on health.
