Judith N. Kenny, MPA, MS

Ms. Kenny has worked at CDC for over 33 years. Ms. Kenny served as the first Director of the Information Technology Services Office (ITSO), from October, 2003 until June, 2012. As the Director of ITSO, Ms. Kenny provided oversight and direction for CDC-wide networking, mainframe, telecommunications, customer support, server hosting, remote access, meeting management technologies, email, and IT Infrastructure global activities. From January of 2003 until assuming the ITSO Director’s role, Ms. Kenny served as the Acting Associate Director for Technical Operations for the Information Resources Management Office (IRMO). Prior to that, she served as Chief of the Management Information Systems Branch, IRMO, for seven years. The latter part of those seven years, Judy also worked with HHS in the rollout of the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS). Prior to her time in IRMO, Judy spent eight years as the Senior IT Coordinator at the National Center for HIV, STD, and TB Prevention. Her responsibilities included managing: application development, PC and LAN management, information management and dissemination, and meeting planning and exhibits.
Ms. Kenny has a B.B.A. in Information Systems, an M.P.A. in Public Administration, and an M.S. in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University. Prior to her employment at CDC, she worked for several software vendors in the private sector, where she performed in various management and technical positions.
