Authorized BDU Uniform Wear
CDC/ATSDR officers are authorized to wear the BDU uniform, if desired, on Fridays during all months of the year. This provides an opportunity for officers to become familiar with the unique features of this uniform and become comfortable wearing it. Officers experienced in deployment and wear of the BDU are encouraged to assist less experienced officers in learning to wear the BDU uniform properly.
Accordingly, our Agency Representatives to the Office of the Surgeon General, Captain Pattie Simone and Captain Sven Rodenbeck, petitioned the Acting Surgeon General for an additional period to wear the BDU uniform on Fridays. Their request has been approved and CDC/ATSDR officers are authorized to wear the BDU uniform, if desired, on Fridays during the months of February and March 2007.
