PHS Uniform Regulations

As a recognized uniform service of the U.S., visibility of the Corps is easily obtained by officers properly and appropriately adhering to the uniform policy. Several policy changes have been made available and implemented as Corps policy. Effective July 1, 2008, all officers in the USPHS Commissioned Corps are mandated to daily uniform wear (CC26.3.2) PDF. In an effort to realign the uniform policy, Corps leadership has identified several uniforms and components that are scheduled to be phased out, and can no longer be worn as of the implementation date. The aforementioned policy allowed for a transition period, which ends as of the effective date listed below.
