Frequently Asked Questions

If I don't want to employ a lawyer or a representative, will the neutral assist me in the mediation process?

The mediator/neutral is impartial and cannot, as a result of ethical considerations, favor one party over another. This includes giving legal or other advice to any participant in the process. The mediator/neutral may have private views about matters that arise, but because of ethical considerations, will not attempt to guide or influence any party.
