Making Hotel Reservations 

CDC is pleased to offer the prevailing FY2007 Federal Government rate for conference attendees. This rate applies for single and double occupancy; the additional charge for triple/quad occupancy is $10 per person per night. State and local taxes are additional (as of Septemner 29, 2006, taxes are 14.85%, subject to change without notice at any time). A City License Fee, currently $1.72 per occupied room per night, will also be charged.

**Special note about the conference room rate: The Federal Government per diem lodging rate is set by the General Services Administration, and is subject to change at any time without notice. You will be charged the current per diem rate at the time of the conference, regardless of what the rate was at the time you made your reservation. For planning purposes, as of September 29, 2006, the FY2007 lodging per diem rate in the Kansas City, Missouri area is $96 per night.

  • Be sure to identify yourself as an attendee of the CDC National Immunization Conference when you make your reservation.
  • Call the hotel before February 16, 2007 (reservations at the special rate are always subject to availability; the Government rate will not be guaranteed for any reservations requested after February 16 or after the reserved Conference block is full, whichever comes first).
Deposits 

A deposit in an amount equal to the cost of one night’s stay, or a credit card guarantee, is required to hold a reservation. Credit cards will be charged one night's room and tax at 6:00pm on the scheduled date of arrival in the event of a no-show.

Cancellations 

Reservations may be cancelled without penalty until 6:00pm on the scheduled date of arrival. Credit cards will be charged one night's room and tax at 6:00pm on the scheduled date of arrival in the event of a no-show.

Getting to the Hotel

Airport Shuttle

A number of companies provide shuttle services from the Kansas City airport to downtown hotels. Advance reservations are recommended.

Taxi

A taxi ride from the airport to the hotel (about 22 miles) costs roughly $40.00 one way.

Driving Directions

Take I-29 South to Broadway/Highway 169 Exit. Take Broadway to 12th Street. Turn left on 12th Street, go 1 block east and hotel is on the left.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in time is 3:00pm. Check-out time is 12:00noon; arrangements may be made with the hotel for late check-out based on availability.
