International Symposium to Advance Total Worker Health®

The International Symposium to Advance Total Worker Health (TWH) is a public conference focused on advancing research, practice, policies, and programs aligned with the TWH approach. The symposium explores opportunities to create safer workplaces and ways to improve the health and well-being of the workforce.

Symposium attendees will hear keynote addresses, presentations, and workshops from experts in the field highlighting the latest research and best practices to advance the safety, health, and well-being of workers. Participants include scientists and professionals from industry, government, academic institutions, nonprofit organizations, labor, and human resources.

3rd International Symposium to Advance TWH, October 2022

NIOSH and the Center for Health, Work & Environment (CHWE) presented the 3rd International Symposium to Advance TWH October 11-14, 2022. The symposium theme “Shaping Work Now and in the Future” was reflected in a new virtual conference track. This was the first time the symposium used a hybrid model, offering events virtually and in-person at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland.

2nd International Symposium to Advance TWH, May 2018

NIOSH hosted the 2nd International Symposium to Advance TWH May 8-11, 2018 at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. The theme for the 2018 symposium was “Work & Well-Being: How Safer, Healthier Work Can Enhance Well-Being.”
