International Conference on Fall Prevention and Protection 2010 |

On May 19-20, 2010, many of the foremost researchers in fall prevention and protection convened in Morgantown, West Virginia at the West Virginia University Erickson Alumni Center, to present their findings and methods at the International Conference on Fall Prevention and Protection (ICFPP). NIOSH hosted this International Conference to provide a forum for researchers to share their work with other researchers, safety professionals, engineers and students. Optional laboratory tours of the NIOSH facility was conducted on the day preceding the conference. The conference provided a technical forum on Fall Prevention and Protection to present research findings and exchange ideas on emerging methods. Session topics included falls from elevation; slips, trips and falls; the practical application of prevention and intervention tools and methods; and global strategic goals on fall prevention.
