Crane Use Schedule

NOTE: This page is archived for historical purposes and is no longer being maintained or updated.

Hazard: Inefficient overhead crane usage can result in lost productivity in various locations in the yard waiting for material to be lifted or blocks moved. Rushed crane operations can result in damage to property and serious injury to workers.

Solution: A strict and tight crane schedule (see photo) as seen in Japanese Shipyards optimizes crane usage and minimized downtime increasing productivity. Rushed crane operations are minimized.
