The purpose of 18 Alaska Administrative Code (ACC) 23.010 is to safeguard public health by establishing sanitation requirements for barbering, hairdressing, manicuring, esthetics, body piercing, tattooing, and permanent cosmetic coloring schools and shops licensed by the Board under 12 ACC 09.
