NIOSH Communication and Information Dissemination Sector Strategic Goals

Goal 5.0: Advance communication research to drive the effective dissemination, diffusion, and adoption of evidence-based practices to prevent work-related illness, injury, and death.

5a.1 Journal will sponsor one complete issue on OSH within a 24 month period devoted to the synthesis of OSH interventions from a communication-social marketing perspective. Partner: Social Marketing Quarterly.
5a.2 Synthesize the research on the social marketing strategies and methods as applied to Occupational Safety and Health Interventions. Partner: NCHM
5b.1 Co-sponsor conference with Texas A&M, University of Texas and Border State Health Department to develop and test products from NIOSH research concerning immigrant Latino workers on the Mexican border
