In the last several months the NIOSH Technical Evaluation Branch has experienced a heavy demand for approval processing. An unusually high percentage of these applications involved multiple gas air purifying cartridges or canisters and supplied air systems. This challenged the resources of the branch and resulted in some delays in processing. We are currently addressing the problems and anticipate we will be back to the normal processing times by the end of April.
