Abstract
In the summer of 1998, the Slattery, Interbeton, White, and Perini joint venture (herin referred to as the Contractor) committed to working with Construction Occupational Helath Project at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (herin refered to as COHP) as a Model Contractor. The COHP's Model Contractor Progrem involves contractors with strong safety programs who have requested that the COHP work with them to strengthen the health component of their work. The Program joins researchers and the construction industry in researching effective systems to construction occupational health through meaningful worker participationin identification and remediatin of hazards.
