Abstract
From 1991 to 2009, 36 workers were killed while working on or near sanitation trucks in New Jersey. Many more were injured. Tweleve workers were killed by vehicles. Serven were run over by the sanitation truck. Five were run over by a car. Fifteen workers who were riding on the riding step were killed. Four workers were crushed to death between the truck and a dumpster. Five drivers were killed when their truck hit another vehicle.
