Abstract
In laboratories, mines, and processing plants, U.S. Bureau of Mines scientists and engineers explore ways to turn ideas into realities. Innovative concepts in mine safety, rock fragmentation, minerals processing, waste cleanup, recovery of metals from wastes, economics, and other fields have resulted in products and processes that are now being used by industry, Government, and others.
