Abstract
I worked on sorbents for organic vapors, including Chromosorb 106 and the carbon-based Anasorb 747, and a program for diffusive sampling method validation. I also brought several aerosol sampling devices into the product line, including the GS-cyclone, the Button sampler, and the Biosampler. Some of my projects involved Cooperative Research and Development Agreements with the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and these contacts were to prove very important in my later career. As a part of my duties, it was necessary to attend the annual conference of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA).
