Abstract
SPECIFIC AIM- This manuscript aims to elucidate the mechanism by which insulin activates phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI-3 kinase), especially the role of sphingomyelinase (SMase) in insulin-induced PI-3 kinase activation.
