The Demand for and Supply of Manpower in the Bituminous Coal Industry for the Years 1985 and 2000.
NTIS: PB/228-215 Available for Reference At Bureau Libraries :420 pages
Concern for assuring adequate supplies of energy in the near and distant future has been accompanied by many studies that have examined one or more of the many interrelated facets that affect supply and demand patterns for energy. Among the finds of the past studies has been a recognition that the existence of adequate resources or reserves will not automatically guarantee sufficient supplies of energy. This study did not attempt to forecast the demand for coal in the target years. Instead, emphasis was placed on developing a methodology for forecasting manpower supply and demand given alternative levels of output of bituminous coal.
