Abstract
Lanolin is used as a depressant in the flotation of scheelite in combination with collectors such as tall oil. Thus, epidote- chlorite ore containing 1.17 Wt pct wo3 was floated to remove sulfide minerals. At ph 9.5-10.5, The scheelite was recovered by the addition of na2co3 4, na2sio3 l, dowfroth 250 0.1, Tall oil 1, and lanolin 0-2 lb/ton. Recovery of wo3 is >90 pct for lanolin content less than or equal to 1.5 Lb/ton, the optimum being 0.5 Lb/ton.
