Abstract
The work in this study was done under an agreement with the National Bureau of Standards and the Bureau of Mines with the objective to determine the accuracy and reliability of dust measurements when taken with the current equipment by coal miners in underground mines. The work is to be conducted in two phases. The first is to develop an experimental plan to determine the accuracy and reliability of coal mine dust measurements at three levels of funding and will serve as a basis for the second phase in which the experimental work will be conducted.
