Abstract
A single well head is used to inject the leach solution for in situ mining and to recover the pregnant liquid. The well head has a main vertical well and a number of intersecting branch wells drilled outwardly at an angle of 0-60 deg to the main well. All the wells extend into the ore zone and a pump in the main well controls the flow of solution. The recovery of uranium by dilute acid or alkaline solutions is mentioned.
