Abstract
This Bureau of Mines report presents a review of underground testing, test results, and design guidelines of steel-fiber- reinforced concrete (sfc) mine support (cribbing) developed at the Spokane Research Center. The objective of the work was to verify, in field applications, the performance, economics, and acceptance by the mining industry of the sfc supports and establish design guidelines for their use underground. Results indicate superior performance, favorable economics, and enthusiastic acceptance by the mining industry.
