Abstract
This study assesses the feasibility of employing hydride-fueled internal combustion engines to power mobile underground mining machinery. Problems are identified and a solution and a development plan are proposed with the objective of constructing, testing, and demonstrating a nonpolluting engine suitable for underground use.
