Abstract
The complete microstructure of low-pressure, nearly stoichiometric ch4-o2-ar flames containing initially 1.1% Cf3br has been analyzed for information on the elementary reactions of formation and decay of the halocarbon species observed. The principal reactions producing hf, directly or indirectly, are the reactions of cf2 with the chain carriers h, o, and oh.
