Abstract
NIOSH activities related to reproductive hazards found in the workplace were summarized. The first part of the report included a brief description of the NIOSH reproduction hazards program and full or partial text copies of eight references on reproductive hazards. Some of the specific topics discussed in depth included a proposed national strategy for the prevention of disorders of reproduction; an overview of adverse outcomes from industrial and environmental exposures; evidence for behavioral teratogenicity in humans; occupational and environmental factors and male infertility; birth defects and reproductive disorders; and resources for workers, health care providers, and health and safety personnel on workplace hazards to reproductive health. The second part of the report contained a comprehensive listing of NIOSH documents on the subject of reproductive hazards and lists selected non NIOSH references.
