Abstract
Following a definition of occupational health nursing, the training and functions of nurses at Kodak Park are described. The work complex, which employs 32,000 people, is divided into 14 areas, each with a full time secretary, and part time nurse, and area physician. The secretary maintains records, schedules and coordinates activities. The nurse performs preplacement , periodic and health hazard examinations, sees patients with self limiting illness and occupational injuries, teaches health maintenance, and counsels people with psychological problems, referring people to other personnel or agencies when necessary. Nurses also run the dispensary, and possibilities of further expansion of the nurse's role are being considered. (Contract No. 210-76-0118)
