Abstract
The School of Health Services of The Johns Hopkins University has been working to develop educational programs in occupational health and safety at the baccalaureate level and to offer courses in continuing education. A reassessment of the future role of industrial hygienists under OSHA and current changes in occupational health was undertaken. A review of existing educational programs and developments in other institutions led to the development of a detailed task analysis. Lectures in occupational health were developed for presentation to various groups. Continuing education courses in Fundamentals in Industrial Hygiene and Prevention in Occupational Health were developed. Examples of the courses are presented in appendices. (Grant No. T02-OH-07005)
