Abstract
Introduction to a study intended to identify and develop the parameters for a priorities evaluation model to aid in setting goals and objectives for the study of potentially hazardous agents and substances found in the work setting. Five are currently used to describe each of the approximately 500 agents and substances on the NIOSH list: production/sales, trend in use, population exposed, toxicity, and incidence.
