Abstract
Alcoholism control programs for industry are briefly discussed. Firm, clearly-stated disciplinary procedures used consistently, coupled with the threat of loss of a job, provide the most useful motivation. Responsibility for the program can be handled by either the medical or personnel department. Continuing treatment and follow- up of the alcoholic is usually referred to local community programs.
