Abstract
Environmental concentrations of nitrous-oxide (10024972) and halothane (151677) in cystoscopy rooms and three operating rooms in the Mount Sinai Hospital (SIC-8062), New York, are determined to exceed safety limits. Measures are suggested to reduce the leakage from the anesthetic circuit and scavenging equipment, and to improve anesthesia work practices and room ventilation.
