Abstract
Symposium on standards for exposures to hot environments. Topics include: dehydration, heat stress, effects of age and sex, heat disorders, work practices standard, environmental measurements, engineering assessment of heat data, physiologic monitoring, time weighted average exposure, physiological strain in steelworkers, heat stress in a glass container plant, heat stress in nonacclimatized workers and practical problems of implementation of the NIOSH proposed standard for occupational exposure to hot work environments.
