Abstract
Inference of aerosol charge distribution from wall-loss studies indicates that coal and fluorescent pigment aerosols, dispersed by both spray and dry techniques, have mean charge values appreciably in excess of Boltzmann equilibrium values, the coal dispersed by a Wright dust feeder having the greatest mean charge. The population of particles with few charges in either dry-dispersed aerosol is quite low.
