Abstract
Preliminary report describing the status of the study on the possibility of spontaneous formation of bis-chloromethyl-ether (542881) by the reaction of formaldehyde (50000) and hydrochloric- acid (7647010) in industrial and medical environments. Topics include sampling techniques, potential for formation of the compound, paper manufacturing process, textile manufacturing process, medical and scientific work, analytical procedures, hematoxylin and eosin stain, colloidal iron, Fuelgen reaction and Snook's reticulum stain.
