Objective

Efficient processing of respirator approval applications. This is an ongoing project that provides Congressionally mandated testing and certification of respirators. This CAN is focused on the actual testing and certification operations

Filtering Facepiece Respirators (FFR) 136 process with an average of 39 days (70 days projected)
Non CBRN non FFR respirators, 101 processed with an average of 115 days (80 days projected)
Implement aging report on open projects

341 respirator approval actions, 255 approved, 86 denied or withdrawn
4 new STPs completed
Letters completed, 528

Outcomes

Reduced respirator certification processing times
Increase the national inventory of respirators
Average processing time 65 days
