Fire Fighter SCBA Evaluations - FY12

Objective

  • To evaluate SCBA performance in support of the investigation of firefighter injuries or fatalities that involve the use of approved SCBA, providing pertinent findings to accident investigators and stakeholders.

Project Scope


  • Conduct investigations of SCBAs involved in line-of-duty deaths and injuries to fire fighters in conjunction with the FFFIPP

Milestones

  • The project is now contained under the PCE team
  • This CAN number will be terminated and the SCBA evaluations will be combined with the clothing evaluations under CAN # 927ZKRB

  • Use of findings and information by users and standards development organizations

  • Better understanding of conformance status of SCBA involved in injury or fatality
