Objective

  • Efficient processing of respirator approval applications. This is an ongoing project that provides Congressionally mandated testing and certification of respirators. This CAN is focused on the actual testing and certification operations

Project Scope


  • Support testing activities

Milestones

  • Filtering Facepiece Respirators (FFR) 93 process with an average of 39 days (70 days projected)
  • Non CBRN non FFR respirators, 87 processed with an average of 75 days (80 days projected)
  • Implement aging report on open projects

Outputs

  • 284 respirator approval actions, 227 approved, 57 denied or withdrawn, 5 New STPs Completed
  • Letters completed, 419

Outcomes

  • Reduced respirator certification processing times
  • Increase the national inventory of respirators
  • Average processing time 75 days
