- Develop a subpart for 42 CFR 84 regarding air ensemble respiratory protection requirements

- Q2 Identify instrument/equipment/test chamber requirements for PSD TIL Test Facility, de-bug HSBG test at NPPTL
- Q3 Visit with NASA, develop test methods for AFE, continue to evaluate present air fed ensemble technology
- Q4 Draft ANPRM

- Develop a separate subpart for 42 CFR 84 that will allow for the certification of air-fed ensembles providing respiratory protection features
Outcomes
- Improve worker safety and health through use of air fed ensembles that meet national recognized standards. Performance criteria and specifications for air-fed protective ensembles do not currently exist
