Project Scope


  • Prepare a new PAPR subpart for 42 CFR 84 to incorporate all PAPR requirements (including CBRN) into one area

Milestones

  • Q2 Establish all requirements for two classes of PAPR and complete required validation
  • Q3 Develop NPRM Preamble
  • Q4 Submit NPRM to NIOSH OD

Outputs

  • Establish regulatory requirements for PAPR class of respirator

Outcomes

  • Availability of improved CBRN and non CBRN certified PAPRs
