  • Develop a subpart for 42 CFR 84 regarding air ensemble respiratory protection requirements

  • Q3 Benchmark Testing of current air fed ensemble technology

  • Q4 Conduct Public meeting to solicit stakeholder feedback

Outputs

  • Develop a separate subpart for 42 CFR 84 that will allow for the certification of air-fed ensembles providing respiratory protection features

Outcomes

  • Improve worker safety and health through use of air fed ensembles that meet national recognized standards. Performance criteria and specifications for air-fed protective ensembles do not currently exist
