Project Scope
- NIOSH membership and participation on NFPA standards committees in support of NFPA-NIOSH Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) to continue improvement to fire and emergency services protective clothing and equipment performance criteria, product standards, competency standards, and selection, care & maintenance standards.
Milestones
- Q1-4 Participation at NFPA Technical Correlating Committee (TCC), Technical Committees (TC), and Task Groups meetings and conference calls addressing PPE performance standards revisions and development of new standards.
- Q1-4 Continued development and action on public comments for proposed new NFPA standards; NFPA 1801 Standard on Thermal Imagers for the Fire Service, 2010 Edition, and NFPA 1952 Standard on Surface Water Operations Protective Clothing and Equipment, 2010 Edition
- Q1-4 Review and update of the NFPA Protective Clothing and Equipment Project Definitions List - Continual Process
