Project Scope


  • The National Academies Committee on PPE will provide the PPT Program a standing committee to address emerging issues and needs and provide scientific input to program development and implementation.

  • 2Q FY09 – COPPE Meeting to discuss the PPT Program Implementation Plan and emerging issues
  • 3Q FY09 – COPPE Meeting to discuss Center of Excellence (COE) concept and plan potential workshop

  • PPE for HCW Action Plan (FY08)
  • COE Concept Strategy (FY09)

  • IOM Report – PPE for HCW During Pandemic Influenza
  • IOM Report – Assessment of the NIOSH Head-and-Face Anthropometric Survey of U.S. Respirator Users
  • IOM Report – Measuring Respirator Use in the Workplace
  • Confirmation of current program activities and recommendations for redirection if applicable.
