LONG-TERM FIELD EVALUATION (LTFE) OF SCSRs FY08

Project Scope


  • Collect random sampled respirators per new protocol Sep 2007
  • Test the apparatus on a breathing and metabolic simulator (90%) and on human subjects walking on a treadmill (10%) to determine life support capability and to ensure that every apparatus that passes its inspection criteria can be relied upon for emergency life support
  • Implement new SCSR LTFE program

  • Directives to SCSR manufacturers for corrective actions
