Project Scope


  • Prepare a new PAPR subpart for 42 CFR 84 to incorporate all PAPR requirements (including CBRN) into one area

Milestones

  • 1Q - Complete and edit draft for publication
  • 2Q - Publish draft and review PAPR standard test procedures
  • 3Q - Review stakeholder comments, publish revised draft and schedule public meeting for further discussion
  • 4Q - Incorporate final changes and prepare draft for intra agency review.

Outputs

  • Establish regulatory requirements for PAPR class of respirator

Outcomes

  • Availability of improved CBRN and non CBRN certified PAPRs
