Project Scope


  • 'Achieving Performance Excellence' (APEX) program is based on the Baldrige National Quality Program. It is comprised of processes and measures that are aligned with the mission and vision of the Laboratory, that are continuously reviewed and evaluated in light of our goals, and that are revised as necessary to achieve performance excellence.

Milestones

  • Develop Category plans for improving organizational effectiveness (3rd Qtr, FY08)
  • Benchmark ARDEC (4th Qtr, FY08)
  • New Lab performance measures based on PPT cross-sector recommendations (4th Qtr, FY08)
  • Implement Lab communication plan (4th Qtr, FY08)
  • 2nd employee satisfaction survey (4th Qtr, FY08)

  • New Laboratory mission and vision statement aligned with NIOSH PPT cross-sector program
  • Strategic planning process (including summit)
  • 2nd customer satisfaction survey
  • Laboratory performance measures
  • Draft Laboratory communication plan
  • APEX recognition program

  • Final report from Performance Excellence Partners contract
