Project Scope

  • Certify respirators per requirements of 42 CFR 84

Milestones

  • Process respirators in a FIFO mode of operation within 90 days
  • Continue to prioritize filtering facepiece designs
  • Prepare for increase in PAPR requests leading to CBRN certification
  • Implement/evaluate new policies and procedures for
    • IAA testing improvements
    • CO2 deadspace testing
    • SAP upgrades

Outputs

  • Respirator certification including improved reports of findings.

  • Reduced respirator certification processing times
  • More relevant records via system improvements
  • Less controversy resulting from subjective tests
